Innovative and Collaborative Research Grant in Neuroscience 2021
NeuroMarseille is pleased to announce the opening of the second call for innovative and collaborative research grant! The goal is still to promote scientific exchanges and to encourage the emergence of new collaborative projects between teams of the community. From now on, you have two months to get in touch with your "future" colleagues and develop together an innovative research project!

Seminar: Astrocytic modulation of neuronal rhythmicity through K+ uptake by Remi Bos
For the next NeuroSchool seminar, we are pleased to welcome Rémi Bos, CNRS researcher at the Timone Neuroscience Institute. He will present his research on the plasticity of spinal motor networks. The seminar is open to all by videoconference and also offers a moment of exchange dedicated to PhD students.

NeuroStories 2020: emotionally yours
On November 23rd, starting at 6:00 pm, five researchers will share their secrets on the language of emotions, whether in animals, humans or robots. They will also talk about those humans who do not feel any emotions.

Postponement: NeuroMarseille kick-off day
The NeuroMarseille Institute regrets to announce it is postponing the launch day scheduled for October 9th, 2020. The sanitary conditions do not allow us to organise the convivial event we had imagined. While waiting to gather together in 2021 to celebrate the one year anniversary of the institute, we propose to meet virtually on a new format: the Neuro'binars! Next Zoom appointments on October 15, November 19 and December 17 at 4 pm.

Postponed: NeuroDays 2020
The students of the doctoral program regret to announce that, due to a health crisis, NeuroDays 2020, initially scheduled from November 11 to 13, has been postponed to November 2021. Thank you to all the students for their involvement and the work they have done!

NENS exchange grants
NENS exchange scholarships are intended for master and doctoral students enrolled in a Graduate School of the NENS network (of which NeuroSchool is a part).
Do not miss this opportunity to spend 1 to 3 months in a NENS member school in another European country. These scholarships cover travel and accommodation costs up to 3,000 euros.

MedIM 2020 Workshop: Methods for the study of molecular interactions: biomedical applications
This workshop proposes you to (re)discover the main biophysical techniques for the characterization of molecular interactions through theoretical presentations and especially practical workshops on the equipment of 3 platforms in Marseille: the INteractome Timone Platform (PINT) of the INP, the Structural Biology Platform of the AFMB and the platforms of the IMM.

Coaching training (open to all staff)
There are still a few places left for training to acquire techniques to help students in their professional project. The training will take place in 3 steps: first 2 days on September 28th and 29th, followed by a practical application with the students, then by a day of assessment (dates to be determined). Thematic Schools
NeuroSchool launches a call for proposals for the co-financing of Thematic Schools with neurosciences as the main theme. NeuroSchool will allocate this co-financing up to 15 k€ per project.

Science events
NeuroSchool can financially support scientific events (symposia, debates, actions towards the general public or patient associations...). The theme of these events must be related to research in the field of neuroscience (fundamental, clinical or industrial research). The events must take place in Provence.

Post-doctoral fellowship in industry
NeuroSchool, proposes to fully fund a one-year post-doctoral fellowship. This year of salary is intended for young neuroscience graduates who have obtained their PhD at AMU (less than 3 years of post-doctoral experience at the time of hiring) and who wish to work in a biotechnology company in the Southern region. Its main objective is to promote the professional insertion of young doctors.

International Call for Projects in Computational Neuroscience - NEUC 2021
The ANR, in collaboration with the NSF, DOE and NIH (USA), BSF (Israel) and NICT (Japan), is launching the 9th call for collaborative research or data sharing projects in computational neuroscience.

Generalist program: hopes for research
As part of the "Hopes for Research" program, the FRM supports the best projects likely to generate significant benefits in the health field. A variety of support is offered to teams regardless of the theme and nature of their research work.

As a reminder, the dates for master's internships are as follows: from May 31 to June 25, 2021 (for M1 students), and from January 4 to May 28, 2021 (for M2 students).

Pitch contest
The Bernard Gregory Association's professional pitch contest for doctoral students is fast approaching. You have until midnight on September 27th to send in your videos. Finalists will have the opportunity to present their pitch at the PhD Talent Career Fair, in front of the public and a jury of executives and business leaders.
