Monday March 16, 2020, the NeuroSchool PhD Program has invited Christoph Schmidt-Hieber (Institut Pasteur, Paris) for a seminar on neural circuits for spatial navigation and memory.
We are interested in how neuronal activity at synapses, neurons and neural circuits drives behaviour. To answer this question, we focus on the hippocampus, a region of the brain that is critical for learning and memory. We combine novel physiological, optical, behavioural and computational approaches to record and manipulate the activity of individual neurons and neural circuits during behaviour.
