Online tutored seminar: Christoph Schmidt-Hieber

Neural circuits for spatial navigation and memory.

Wednesday June 17, 2020, the NeuroSchool PhD Program has invited Christoph Schmidt-Hieber (Institut Pasteur, Paris) for a seminar on neural circuits for spatial navigation and memory.

Abstract:

We are interested in how neuronal activity at synapses, neurons and neural circuits drives behaviour. To answer this question, we focus on the hippocampus, a region of the brain that is critical for learning and memory. We combine novel physiological, optical, behavioural and computational approaches to record and manipulate the activity of individual neurons and neural circuits during behaviour.

June 17, 2020 - Online

Steps will be the same:

  • 10:00 am: Discussion among students.
  • 11:00 am: Seminar (Open to all) on BigBlueButton.
  • 12:00 pm: Discussion with speaker for PhD students only

There is also the possibility for researchers to book a discussion/meeting slot with Christoph Schmidt-Hieber via Zoom. The meeting slots (1/2h) can take place between 9 and 10.30 a.m., as well as between 2 and 5 p.m.

If you are interested, please contact Nicolas Wanaverbecq.
