Mental health is a major public health issue. Long-term treatments using neuroleptics, anxiolytics, or antidepressants are necessary to limit symptoms but do not lead to a cure, particularly as their etiology remains poorly understood. Experimental approaches based on animal models are still essential for understanding disease mechanisms and proposing innovative therapeutic solutions. This book presents the advances, but also the difficulties, of research for practitioners.
