From 22 January to 19 February, we offered 5 sessions of a new PhD Program course entitled “A review of the most recent advances in nervous system development”.

Thanks to its online format, NeuroSchool invited students from the Civis partner university of Tübingen to take tthis neurodevelopment course: a great success with almos half the audience (11/27) being from there!

About neurodevelopment course

A review of the most recent advances in nervous system development :

The architecture of the adult brain begins to form during embryonic development. The first cellular processes that occur in the brain are neurogenesis, cell migration, axonal growth and synaptogenesis. The complex interaction of these steps produces circuits that mediate a very complex set of behaviours. These neural circuits continue to develop and are shaped by the interactions between the brain and the environment during the early-life experience. The aim of this course is to give students a general understanding of the development of the central nervous system and the alterations associated with neurodevelopmental diseases such as autism and epilepsy.
