A post-doc position is available at the ONERA in Salon de Provence (France). The successful candidate will work on studies investigating the impact of actions on sensory processing and learning. Research methods include psychophysics, EEG and eye-tracking.

The successful candidate will integrate the Cognitive Engineering and Applied Neurosciences (ICNA) group at the ONERA in Salon-de-Provence and will be mentored by Dr. Andrea Desantis, Dr. Jean-Christophe Sarrazin (ONERA) and Dr. Alexandre Zenon (CNRS researcher at INCIA in Bordeaux). The candidate may be led to travel to Marseille since some of the studies will be conducted at the Institut de Neurosciences de la Timone. A stay in the INCIA in Bordeaux is also possible. This will offer the successful candidate the unique opportunity to gain experience in both basic and applied research and to learn from both academic and industrial research labs.

The ICNA is a highly interdisciplinary research unit at the ONERA in Salon-de-Provence, with expertise in applied mathematics, engineering, cognitive sciences and human factors. It is a very dynamic group composed of 13 permanent researchers, 10 PhD students, 3 post-docs and several interns. The working languages are French and English.

Desired profile

Candidates should have a PhD in neuroscience, computer science, psychology, cognitive science, or related fields.
Programming experience (Matlab, Python) is required as well as experience with psychophysics. Prior experience with the topic, EEG and eye-tracking is a plus.
