An advanced imaging center of cellular microscopy
This platform is part of the « Platforms NeuroTimone » (PFNT) group
NCIS-PFNT provides access to light microscopes for neuroscientists who want to observe molecular and cellular processes to better understand the functions and dysfunctions of the nervous system.
In addition to conventional wide-field and confocal microscopes, NCIS offers more advanced techniques such as live-cell imaging, super-resolution microscopy and high-throughput microscopy.
The Imaging Service brings these cutting-edge techniques to all neurobiology researchers at the INP, in Marseille and beyond, with expert advice on how to choose the best technique for a given question and project. Within NCIS-PFNT, Nikon’s Center of Excellence for Neuro-NanoImaging in its Cell Imaging Center focuses on how the latest super-resolution technique can help understand brain cells and their dysfunctions.

Training
You are looking for a platform to train one or more staff on a particular technique or equipment? You’ve come to the right place!
The facility can train users on the different microscopy techniques it offers, so that they can be autonomous for image acquisition.
Services submitted to charges
Do you have a project that requires expertise, a technique or equipment that you don’t have? You’re not looking for scientific collaboration, but for the expert who can meet your needs? Then you’ve come to the right place.
Access to the facility is open, with billing based on the time users spend using the microscopes.
