Scholarship and funding winners

As always in June, the time has come to announce the winners of scholarships and funding for 2018/2019.

The jury for the 6-month funding for the 4th PhD year will take place on July 5th, 2018.

International PhD scholarships

In 2018, the PhD program in Integrative and Clinical Neurosciences offered three PhD scholarships to excellent Master students that graduated from top-ranked non-French universities.

We received 66 eligible applications. Based on the opinion of the researchers who had offered the 21 thesis projects, the jury, composed of representatives from all the neuroscience laboratories in Marseille, selected 12 very high-level candidates for auditions.
In the overall mark, the presentation of the day, the quality of the answers to the questions and the mark previously assigned to the file were taken into account.

In light of all this, three scholarships have been awarded:

  • Dominic Bingham will work under Christophe Leterrier and Marie-Jeanne Papandréou’s supervision, from the INP, on “Role of actin nanostructures in presynaptic assembly and function”.
  • Yasmin Mzayek will work under Jean-Philippe Ranjeva and Wafaa Zaaraoui’s supervision, from the CRMBM, on “In vivo assessment of neuro-axonal degeneration in multiple sclerosis patients using diffusion MR spectroscopy at 7T”.
  • Federica Conti will work under Anna Montagnini’s supervision, from the INT, on “Bayesian inference in visuomotor decisions: eye movement analysis and modeling”.

Congratulations to all our laureates!
