Call for projects: Innovative and collaborative research grant "PLUS"
NeuroMarseille launches this new and exceptional call for tender (on the model of the ICR grant, which remains open) to promote collaboration between researchers/engineers of the community, on innovative projects and in collaboration with a technical platform.
Each project will receive up to 20 k€ for the research part. Then, an additional envelope of up to 20 k€ will be added to allow the purchase of equipment for the platform.
Deadline for submission of projects: December 6

Call for projects: Technical Boost in Neuroscience
NeuroMarseille also launches this third call for tender: "Technical boost in Neuroscience", to encourage researchers to use the skills and tools of technical platforms not belonging to their own laboratory/UMR
Each project will be granted up to 10 k€ to cover the services provided by the platform.
Deadline for submission of projects: December 6

Photo Contest: Science & Art
NeuroMarseille takes you on a new adventure at the frontier between Science and Art! Send your most beautiful pictures to reveal the beauty of the living through images made in AMU's neuroscience laboratories. The 20 winning photos will be exhibited in different galleries in the region from May to July 2021. If you are a laureate, you will also receive a large-format framed print of your photo(s).
Deadline for submission: January 31, 2021.

NeuroStories 2020: Emotionally yours
On November 23rd from 6 pm, five researchers will share with us their secrets on the language of emotions, whether in animals, humans or robots. They will also talk about those humans who do not feel any emotions. Following the government announcements, the event will be entirely digital, live on youtube.

5th HBP Student Conference on Interdisciplinary Brain Science
The 5th HBP Student Conference will take place virtually over four days from February 1-4, 2021. Participation is open to the entire student community and early-career researchers, whether or not they are affiliated with the Human Brain Project (HBP).
Call for Papers
The conference invites high-quality papers describing innovative research in all disciplines addressed in HBP. The deadline for abstract submission is November 6, 2020.
Registration is open until January 14, 2021!

Chronicles - Biennale des imaginaires numériques
NeuroMarseille and the association Arts Vivants Aix have chosen to combine art and science.
For the 2020 edition, the jury has selected two works resulting from the meeting of art and science to subsidize them. Anne-Marie Renan, painter, and Jesùs Tamez-Duque, multidisciplinary artist and technology developer subsidized by NeuroMarseille, propose to record the waves that make our brains vibrate in front of the beautiful and moving. Fabien Léaustic, researcher and plastic artist, has chosen to sculpt DNA.

European Researchers' Night 2020
The European Researchers' Night returns to Aix-Marseille on 27 November for a 100% online edition. Around fifty researchers from Aix-Marseille University and its research partners will be connected simultaneously to meet you by phone, video or live video! Objective: to share their research confidences through correspondence, games, scenes and anecdotes.

Would you like to contribute to M1 Problem-Based Learning (APP)?
During these APP, students work in small teams on a current issue in neuroscience, using cutting-edge technologies in various Marseille laboratories.
If you have a proposal for a new APP module or would like to host students in your laboratory for an existing APP, please contact the master's coordinators. Next APP session: April 2021.

MedIM 2020 Workshop: Methods for the study of molecular interactions: biomedical applications
This workshop proposes you to (re)discover the main biophysical techniques for the characterization of molecular interactions through theoretical presentations and especially practical workshops on the equipment of 3 platforms in Marseille: the INteractome Timone Platform (PINT) of the INP, the Structural Biology Platform of the AFMB and the platforms of the IMM.

2021 Tutored Seminar Program: new call for suggesting your speakers
This year again we wish to actively involve students registered to the NeuroSchool PhD program to propose speakers for the 2021 Tutored Seminars.
The idea is to cover the various fields of neuroscience from molecular/cellular to more integrated levels. With the help of your PhD supervisor and colleagues, you are asked to propose YOUR DREAM SPEAKERS.

This year's Welcome Day is in a new online format: a SPOC (Small Private Online Course). These short video clips will introduce you to the objectives and operating principles of the program.

Post-doctoral fellowship in industry
NeuroSchool proposes to fully fund a one-year post-doctoral fellowship. This year of salary is intended for young neuroscience graduates who have obtained their PhD at AMU (less than 3 years of post-doctoral experience at the time of hiring) and who wish to work in a biotechnology company in the Southern region. Its main objective is to promote the professional insertion of young doctors.

ICR grant 2021: Appel d'offre "Innovative and Collaborative Research Grant"
NeuroMarseille is pleased to announce the opening of the second call for innovative and collaborative research grant! The goal is still to promote scientific exchanges and to encourage the emergence of new collaborative projects between teams of the community. From now on, you have one month to get in touch with your "future" colleagues and develop together an innovative research project!

L3 and M1 mobility scholarships
If the sanitary situation allows it, NeuroSchool offers mobility grants for internships abroad during the summer of 2021 for selected L3 and M1 students. Information and applications are available on our website (link for L3, link for M1).
Application deadlines: December 13, 2020 (M1) and January 31, 2021 (L3)

International co-supervised PhD scholarships
NeuroSchool's doctoral program proposes to fund up to 54 months of doctoral research, which will be divided among several doctoral research projects under international co-supervision or co-direction.
Projects must be submitted via our website no later than midnight on Sunday, February 28, 2021.

Amidex : Program & AAPS transfert
The A*Midex Foundation is launching its new Transfer program for the period 2020-2023, with a series of calls for projects aimed at strengthening research partnerships between research institutions and actors from the worlds of business, culture and civil society. This program, with a budget of € 6.5 million for the period 2020-2023, is structured around 4 calls for proposals, the first of which are open from 23 September 2020
