Tribute to Fabien Tell
Fabien Tell, a lecturer and researcher at Aix-Marseille University for 30 years, passed away on October 2. Recognized for his work and commitment, he was much appreciated by his colleagues, who paid him a tribute in this beautiful text in his memory. NeuroMarseille shares their sorrow.

The NeuroLink society invites neuroscience PhD students and post-doctoral fellows for a social event, on Friday, December 9th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, at the Salle des Voutes on the Saint-Charles campus. Art and Neuroscience at the Museum
Saturday afternoon, December 10, at the Granet Museum in Aix-en-Provence, neuroscience will take over the space through a scientific-artistic experiment:: the "mental translation". CIML Keynote on the brain and the immunity
The CIML (Centre d’Immunologie de Marseille-Luminy) has invited Asya Rolls, from the Israel Institute of Technology Rappaport Medical school, to give a keynote lecture entitled « Immunoception: brain representation and control of immunity », on January 12th from11:30 am to 12:30 am at the CIML Amphitheater. Practical MEEG training
This month, Neuroschool will finance a training program for several PhD students. It will allow them to learn how to establish complete "pipelines" between different MEG or EEG analysis software, which is often complex to manage.

The next training session on animal experimentation will begin on January 2nd : around 100 Master's and PhD students will take it and will get certified. This training, funded by NeuroSchool, is mandatory to work with laboratory animals in France.

Neuroanatomy course

Relationships can sometimes be tense between PhD students and their directors. To appease them, have a look and use this poster, that focuses on advice for both sides of the relationship. Remember: these tips are not strict rules and must be adapted to each context! Also feel free to contact your PhD mentor if you encounter issues in the course of your PhD.

Last Neuroimaging Meetings of the year (NMR)
The last INT's NMR of the year will take place at CERIMED and online, on Thursday December 8th, with talks regarding Brain Evolution Using Comparative Diffusion Tractography, and Discoveries made at the SFN San Diego. XVI European Meeting on Glial Cells in Health and Disease
The meeting to be held in Berlin, Germany, July 8-11, 2023, is about to open registration, abstract submission, and applications for talks. The deadline is Monday, February 6, 2023. CIML Keynote on the brain and the immunity

The 9th Mediterranean Neuroscience conference that will be held in Carthage (Tunisia, 14-18 October 2023) is now accepting submissions for proposed symposia. A typical symposium gathers 4-5 speakers, each addressing the general topic from a different perspective. The total allocated time is 2 hours per proposed symposium. Symposia dealing with all areas of neuroscience research are warmly invited, including, biomedical, clinical, genetics, imaging, computational history and teaching neuroscience.

The Institute is proud to announce the increase of its facilities, as three NeuroMarseille laboratories won the "Equipement - Volet Recherche" A*Midex 2022 call. The INP is acquiring an analytical ultracentrifuge, the UNIS an acousto-optic deflectors, and the CRMBM obtains a system of trans-species imaging of sodium by UHF brain MRI.
