Role of long non-coding RNAs and nuclear sub-domains in the control of circadian gene expression in the pituitary oscillator

The team’s studies are in the overall context of the search for transcriptional and post-transcriptional mechanisms that allow circadian gene expression in the pituitary gland. To extend the recently published results of the team (Torres et al., Circadian RNA Expression Elicited by 3′-UTR IRAl-paraspeckle Associated Elements. eLife 5 doi:10.7554/eLife.14837, 2016) the subject of the proposal is to further characterize the role of long non-coding RNAs and nuclear sub-domains in the control of circadian gene expression in the pituitary oscillator but also to determine their involvement in proliferation and differentiation cell processes.
