Role of attention in spatial coding

The hippocampus is an important structure for generating and using an internal representation of the environment. This region contains place cells, which are neurons whose activity is particularly well correlated with the position of an animal in its environment. The purpose of this internship is to study how attention modulates the ability to generate an internal representation of the environment. For this we will study the properties of place cells in a mouse model of ADHD (Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder).
